Introduction
The KM Youth Fishing Team Middle School League is a youth fishing league that will compete virtually against competitors using the Fish Donkey app. This team is a great opportunity for youth anglers to learn about fishing basics, boater safety, conservation, teamwork, and is a great league to either have some fun or hone your skills for the opportunity to later fish on the more competitive high school team. There will be opportunities for trophies, prizes, gift card drawings, and scholarships for those participating in this league. Anglers in this league are expected to mentor & volunteer with the youth team events as much as possible.
Registration is $200 - includes the cost of your jersey
Eligible anglers are going into 5th thru 8th grades.
Registration costs cover virtual tournament registration, liability insurance on the angler, seminars, classes, practices, and additional fun tournaments against local clubs and ourselves. Registration also includes an opportunity to compete for an angler of the year scholarship.
Season is from April through September
- This league primarily competes in virtual tournaments (no live weigh-in)
- Tournaments are typically held on a Sunday from 7am-2pm
***See the team schedule section below for tournament dates & locations***
Anglers will be allowed to fish from a boat, kayak, canoe, or shore fish.
When fishing from a boat, a certified boat captain must be in the boat.
It is required the anglers partner up with another angler and come with their own boat captains.
This is a partnered tournament set up. Meaning there needs to be two anglers per team in any combination of the above listed fishing methods.
All MSHSL rules will be followed.
